1. Background
Lembaga Manajemen Infaq (LMI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to managing Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf funds to help those in need. The LMI website serves as the main platform for donors to contribute and access information about the available social programs.
Through this redesign, the website has been improved to be more modern, accessible, transparent, and provide a better user experience.
2. Redesign Objectives
Enhance the user experience in accessing information and making donations.
Simplify navigation so users can quickly find the programs they want to support.
Make the website more visually appealing, professional, and mobile-friendly.
Strengthen the CTA (Call to Action) to effectively guide users toward donating.
3. Research Methods
To understand user needs, the following research methods were conducted:
Analysis of the Old Website: Evaluating weaknesses in the previous design and navigation structure.
Benchmarking: Comparing the design with other successful donation websites.
User Feedback: Gathering insights from existing donors and potential users to identify their challenges.
Findings & Issues in the Old Website
Based on the research, several key problems were identified:
Unclear Navigation → Users had difficulty finding information about donation programs.
Unattractive Visuals → The old design was not engaging enough to encourage donations.
Lack of Urgency & Prominent CTA → No elements effectively directed users to donate immediately.
Poor Mobile Optimization → Many users accessed the site via mobile, but the old website was not well-optimized for mobile viewing.
Redesign Solutions & Implementation
1. A More Modern & Professional UI/UX Design
Based on the findings, the landing page has been redesigned with the following improvements:
Strong Hero Section → Featuring an image of smiling children with the headline "Easily Donate Your Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah" to immediately grab attention.
Clear & Bold CTA → The "Donate Now" button in a contrasting green color is placed strategically to increase conversions.
Trust & Donor Testimonials → A badge showing 500+ donors who have contributed, enhancing credibility.
Consistent Color Palette → Green as the primary color for an Islamic and trustworthy feel, complemented by white for a clean and professional look.
2. Improved Navigation & Information Structure
Simple & Clear Navigation Menu → "Home," "Programs," "News & Events," "Contact," and a "Donate Now" button that remains visible.
Well-Organized Information → Clearly presenting the organization's vision & mission to build user trust.
Highlighted Key Programs → The "Transform Lives with Your Support" section showcases services such as Qurban, Sadaqah, Waqf, Zakat Calculator, Donor Registration, and E-Magz Download, with well-designed, easy-to-read cards.
3. Transparency & Proof of Donation Impact
📌 "Making an Impact Together" Section
Displays updates on donation impacts, such as 2,000 Relief Packages for Flood Victims, Scholarships for Students, and Free Medical Clinics in Rural Bali.
Each update is supported by real images of social activities, making it more convincing and emotionally engaging for potential donors.
4. Increasing Engagement & User Retention
Newsletter Subscription → A dedicated section at the bottom with a call-to-action "Get the latest updates on donations and special events!" to encourage users to stay connected with LMI.
Social Media Integration → Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube for greater interaction and wider information dissemination.
